Maina-comum (Acridotheres tristis) — 23-26 cm. Pássaro da família dos estorninhos originário do sul da Ásia, introduzido em numerosas regiões tropicais onde se tornou espécie invasora problemática. Plumagem castanho-escura com cabeça negra e marcas brancas nas asas. Vocaliza com grande variedade de sons. Onívoro oportunista extremamente adaptável.
