Colibrí de garganta púrpura, 11-12 cm. Garganta y pecho púrpura iridiscente, lomo verde, pico curvado. Endémico de las islas caribeñas del este. Polinizador de flores de heliconias. Preocupación menor.
Stripe-breasted Starthroat
El colibrí de pico largo de cola punteada habita en el nordeste y centro de Brasil. El macho tiene partes superiores verdes con marcas escamadas en el pecho y garganta iridiscente. Tiene un pico largo para acceder al néctar de flores tubulares. Habita en bosques secos y bordes de bosque del interior de Brasil. Se sabe relativamente poco sobre su ecología en comparación con otros colibríes.
