Acerca de
El colibrí hada de orejas negras es un colibrí esbelto y elegante de América del Sur tropical. El macho tiene plumaje verde brillante en las partes superiores y blanco en las inferiores, con una mancha negra detrás del ojo y cola larga y horquillada. Habita en bordes de bosque tropical húmedo y jardines. Se alimenta de néctar de flores y pequeños insectos atrapados al vuelo. Su elegante forma y plumaje lo distinguen de otros colibríes de la región.

Nectarivore robbing nectar from large flowers in forest canopy. Gleans small spiders and soft-bodied insects from leaf surfaces.
