El trepacolas de cola gris es un ave delgada e insectívora del sudeste de Asia. Tiene largas alas, cola bifurcada y plumaje gris oscuro con manchas blancas y castaño en la cabeza. Anida en ramas de árboles pequeñas con un nido de saliva. Captura insectos al vuelo sobre el dosel del bosque y bordes. Habita en bosques y zonas arboladas del sudeste asiático, desde Malasia hasta Filipinas.

Found from southern India through the Thai-Malay Peninsula to Sumatra, Java, and Borneo. Resident in open forest and forest edge.

Perch-sallying aerial hunter catching small flying insects, including flies and beetles, in swift low-altitude pursuits.
