El trepacolas de corona gris es un ave del sudeste de Asia con una corona gris característica, partes superiores verdes y cola bifurcada. Anida en ramas de árboles con un pequeño nido de saliva. Captura insectos al vuelo sobre los doseles forestales. Habita en bosques, bordes y zonas arboladas desde la India hasta el sudeste de Asia. A menudo se observa posado en ramas expuestas entre capturas de insectos.

Found across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia from India east to Indochina. Resident in open deciduous forest and edge up to 1,500 m.
