O andorinhão-trepador-de-cauda-cinzenta é uma ave esbelta e insetívora do sudeste asiático. Tem longas asas, cauda bifurcada e plumagem cinzenta escura com manchas brancas e castanho na cabeça. Nidifica em pequenos ramos de árvores com um ninho de saliva. Captura insetos em voo sobre o dossel da floresta e as orlas. Habita em florestas e zonas arborizadas do sudeste asiático, desde a Malásia até às Filipinas.

Found from southern India through the Thai-Malay Peninsula to Sumatra, Java, and Borneo. Resident in open forest and forest edge.

Perch-sallying aerial hunter catching small flying insects, including flies and beetles, in swift low-altitude pursuits.
