소개

큰흰죽지와 거의 동일하지만 봉우리 모양의 자줏빛 광택 머리, 좁은 부리 손톱, 더 작은 흰 날개 줄무늬가 특징인 중간 크기의 잠수오리입니다. 북미에서 가장 많은 잠수오리입니다. 캐나다와 알래스카 아한대에서 번식하며 미국 남부 이남에서 월동합니다.
