아라비아 반도의 바위 와디, 용암 지대, 건조 언덕에 서식하는 대형 꿩과(Phasianidae) 자고새(약 623g). 검은 머리 왕관, 흰 뺨, 줄무늬 측면이 특징이다. 씨앗과 식물 재료를 먹는다.
