How to Tell Them Apart

Die Blauracke verdankt ihren englischen Namen („Roller“) den spektakulären Roll- und Sturzflügen, die Männchen während der Balz vorführen. Die Stockente ist die Stammform der meisten Hausentenrassen und die häufigste und am weitesten verbreitete Schwimmente der Welt. Erpel zeigen aufwendige Balzrituale, darunter Kopfnicken und pfeifend-grunzende Rufe. Stockenten sind äußerst anpassungsfähig und gedeihen sowohl in der Wildnis als auch in städtischen Lebensräumen.
