How to Tell Them Apart
Turmfalke
Males have a blue-grey head and tail with a rufous back spotted with black. Females are rufous-brown with heavy barring. Both have a dark moustachial stripe.

Turmfalke
Der Turmfalke ist der häufigste Falke Europas und bekannt für seine Fähigkeit, bei der Jagd reglos im Wind zu rütteln, während er nach Beute Ausschau hält. Der Eissturmvogel ist ein langlebiger Seevogel, der über 40 Jahre alt werden kann. Er verteidigt sein Nest, indem er Eindringlinge mit übel riechendem Magenöl bespuckt, das die Federn von Fressfeinden verkleben und deren Wasserdichtigkeit zerstören kann – mitunter mit tödlichen Folgen. Der Eissturmvogel hat sein Brutgebiet in den letzten zwei Jahrhunderten drastisch nach Süden ausgedehnt.
