Turmfalke
Der Turmfalke ist der häufigste Falke Europas und bekannt für seine Fähigkeit, bei der Jagd reglos im Wind zu rütteln, während er nach Beute Ausschau hält. Untersuchungen zeigen, dass Turmfalken ultraviolettes Licht sehen können und so die UV-reflektierenden Urinspuren von Wühlmäusen aufspüren. Zaunkönig
Der Zaunkönig ist einer der kleinsten Vögel Europas, besitzt jedoch einen für seine Größe erstaunlich lauten Gesang. Männchen bauen mehrere kuppelförmige Nester, von denen das Weibchen eines zum Auspolstern auswählt. In der britischen Folklore gilt der Zaunkönig als König der Vögel, weil er den Adler in einem Flugwettbewerb überlistete.
