Beija-flor-de-rabo-azul (Chlorestes notata), 8–10 cm. Macho com plumagem verde-esmeralda brilhante, cauda azul-violácea contrastante. Habita florestas úmidas tropicais, bordas de mata e jardins no norte da América do Sul e Trinindad. Alimenta-se de néctar e pequenos insetos.
Purple-throated Carib
A medium-sized hummingbird (11-12 cm) endemic to the Lesser Antilles from Saba to St. Vincent. Males have iridescent purple throat and green body. Nectarivore of montane forest and gardens. Larger and more aggressive than Green-throated Carib, dominating flower territories.
