파란페트렐(26–32cm, 날개 길이 60–71cm)은 특유의 흰 끝 사각형 꼬리를 지닌 청회색 바닷새로 아랫면은 흰색이다. 아남극 섬에서 번식하고 남극해를 광범위하게 유랑한다.
Balearic Shearwater
30–38 cm. Brown above; variably dirty-white to brown below; often shows brown smudging on flanks. Breeds only Balearic Islands, Spain. Critically Endangered with fewer than 3,000 pairs; faces extinction. Migrates to NE Atlantic; threatened by predators, fishing bycatch, and tourist development.
