Sumatran Partridge
꿩과에 속하는 중간 크기의 자고새(약 335g)로, 갈색 깃털과 비늘 모양 배 부분이 특징입니다. 수마트라 섬에만 사는 고유종으로, 해발 600~2,000m의 원시림과 이차림 고지대 숲에 서식합니다. 숲 바닥에서 씨앗, 열매, 무척추동물을 먹습니다. 보호 지역 내 수마트라 산악 숲이 상당 부분 남아 있어 안정적인 개체수를 유지하는 관심대상 종입니다.
