Sumatran Partridge
キジ科に属する中型のシャコ(約335g)で、茶褐色の羽毛と鱗状の腹部を持つ。スマトラ島固有種で、標高600〜2,000mの原生林・二次林の高地に生息する。種子・ベリー・無脊椎動物を求めて林床で採食する。軽度懸念;スマトラの山地林は保護区内に相当量が残存し、安定した個体群を支えている。
