보라귀벌새(Heliothryx auritus)는 11–12cm의 길고 포크형 꼬리에 반짝이는 녹색 깃털과 두드러진 보라색 귀 반점을 지닌 우아한 벌새다. 베네수엘라에서 볼리비아와 브라질까지 아마존 지역에 서식한다.
