黄耳ハチドリはコロンビアからブラジルにかけての南アメリカ低地林のアマゾン流域周辺（標高0〜700 m）に生息するハチドリ（体長10〜11 cm）。光沢のある緑色の羽衣と鮮やかな黄色の耳部パッチが特徴的。林冠・林縁の蜜食性。
