Colibrí estrellado de Berlepsch (Chaetocercus berlepschi), 6–7 cm. Pequeño colibrí de garganta violácea brillante en el macho; partes superiores verde metálico; vientre blanquecino. Endémico de Ecuador y norte de Perú. Habita en bordes de selva montañosa. Especie poco conocida y escasa.
Allen's Hummingbird
A small hummingbird (8-9 cm) breeding along the Pacific coast from Oregon to southern California. Males have an orange-red throat and rufous flanks. Closely related to Rufous Hummingbird. Partial migrant; some populations resident on Channel Islands. Named after Thomas Allen.
