Madagascar Pochard

El porrón de Madagascar es una especie muy rara considerada probablemente extinta hasta su redescubrimiento en 2006 en el lago Alaotra de Madagascar. Tiene plumaje similar al del porrón pardo, pero el macho tiene el ojo oscuro. Es el ave más rara del mundo, con solo unos pocos individuos conocidos en vida silvestre, siendo el resultado de décadas de intensos esfuerzos de conservación.
