El pato blanquibronceado o pato silvestre es una especie en peligro de extinción del sur y el sudeste de Asia. Tiene el plumaje negro brillante con la cabeza y el cuello de color blanco en el macho. Habita en densos bosques tropicales con ríos, lagunas y pantanos en India, Bangladés, Myánmar, Laos, Tailandia, Vietnam e Indonesia. La deforestación lo ha reducido a pequeñas poblaciones.
