Der Steinadler zählt zu den kraftvollsten und wendigsten Greifvögeln der nördlichen Hemisphäre. Von zahlreichen Kulturen verehrt, wird er seit Jahrhunderten in der Falknerei eingesetzt, insbesondere von kasachischen Adlerjägern Zentralasiens.
