铁嘴沙鸻 (Charadrius leschenaultii),体长约22厘米。上体沙灰色,繁殖期胸部具棕色横带,嘴粗壮黑色。繁殖于中亚至中国西北部的干旱地带,冬季迁徙至非洲东部、印度洋和东南亚海岸。以昆虫和小型无脊椎动物为食。

Restricted to high-altitude moorland and montane grassland above 1,800 m in Ethiopia. Insectivorous. Sedentary; rare and little-studied. Declining due to overgrazing and agricultural encroachment.
