安达曼褐翅鸦鹃，体长42–47厘米，栗色背部、黑色头部、长尾，安达曼群岛特有种。

常见鹰鹃广泛分布于南亚，从巴基斯坦至孟加拉国的各类林地。体羽棕褐，下体白色具棕色条纹，眼圈黄色。以昆虫为食，是巢寄生鸟类，主要寄生于哑幼鸟鸟类。其清晰响亮的重复性鸣声是南亚林地的标志音。
