Brown above; breast uniform tan-buff without chestnut or grey; throat whitish; flanks olive-brown streaked pale; bare reddish eye-ring; uniform tan breast is diagnostic against grey-breasted congeners.
Habitat & Range

Endemic to northern Sumatra in Aceh and North Sumatra provinces. Found in lowland and foothill forest below 1,000 m.
Diet & Feeding
Forages on floor of northern Sumatran montane forests for seeds, invertebrates, and small fruits. Little-studied species.
