The Black-lored Cisticola is a small, skulking warbler with streaked brown and buff plumage and small black patches on the lores. It inhabits tall grass, bracken fern, and forest-edge vegetation in the montane areas of the Albertine Rift in east-central Africa. It feeds on small insects and seeds, creeping through dense grass stems in the manner typical of cisticolas.

Black-chested Prinia

The Black-chested Prinia is a small, warbler-like bird of sub-Saharan southern Africa, with a distinctive black breast band in breeding plumage, grey upperparts, and whitish underparts. It inhabits dry thorn scrub, open woodland, and grassland with scattered bushes in Angola, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and adjacent countries. It feeds on small insects and spiders, gleaning them from foliage.
