Males dark grey with black vermiculations and white-spotted scapulars; females deep rufous-chestnut with white-spotted coverts; Borneo montane endemic; strongly dimorphic with male grey and female rufous patterns contrasting sharply.

Bornean Frogmouth

Males grey-brown finely vermiculated dark; white scapular spots; females rufous-chestnut with white-buff spotting; small Borneo endemic closely resembling Sumatran Frogmouth but greyer with less contrast between crown and back.

Dulit Frogmouth

A medium-sized frogmouth (25-27 cm) endemic to montane forests of northern Borneo. Dark brown plumage. Nocturnal insectivore. One of the rarest and least known frogmouths, known from very few specimens. Limited information on ecology and behavior.

Bornean Frogmouth

A medium-sized frogmouth (23-25 cm) endemic to the mountains of Borneo. Dark brown plumage. Nocturnal insectivore of montane moss forest. Recently split from Horsfield's Frogmouth. Limited ecological data; restricted to elevations above 600 m.
