Driven extinct by market hunting and deforestation; last individual died Cincinnati Zoo, 1 September 1914.
Enggano Cuckoo-Dove
Slender cuckoo-dove, 32–35 cm, uniform warm cinnamon-rufous with minimal barring and a relatively short tail. Restricted to Enggano Island off the southwestern coast of Sumatra. Inhabits dense lowland forest. Frugivore. Vulnerable due to extremely small range and ongoing forest loss on the island.
