Pohnpei Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus ponapensis), 22 cm. Green with a lilac head and an orange-yellow breast; endemic to Pohnpei, Micronesia. Occupies primary forest above 200 m on this volcanic island. Frugivore. Vulnerable; total range barely exceeds 100 km².

Sumatran Green-pigeon

Sumatran Green-pigeon (Treron oxyurus), 32 cm. Brilliant green with a pointed tail; male has a purple mantle patch. Endemic to Sumatra and Java, inhabiting montane forest from 700 to 2,400 m elevation. Frugivore feeding on figs and forest berries. Vulnerable owing to rapid deforestation across its restricted range.
