Medium ground dove, 25–30 cm, with brown-grey upperparts and a dramatically blood-red breast patch on white underparts, resembling a chest wound. Endemic to Luzon in the Philippines. Inhabits primary and secondary lowland and hill forest. Terrestrial frugivore. Near Threatened due to deforestation and hunting.
