Lowland humid forest in the western Amazon basin of Peru, Ecuador, and adjacent Colombia and Brazil. Prefers undisturbed terra firme and seasonally flooded forest interior below 400 m.

Inambu-de-Bartlett (Crypturellus bartletti) — Inambu do sub-bosque de florestas amazônicas do Peru e extremo norte do Brasil. Plumagem acastanhada com padrão distinto. Habita florestas de terra firme densas. Como todos os inambus, é extremamente difícil de observar, detectado principalmente pelo canto suave e melancólico ao amanhecer.

Hooded Tinamou

A medium-sized tinamou notable for its black crown and nape contrasting with rufous-brown body plumage. Found in humid montane forests of the central Andes. Terrestrial and elusive; detected most easily by its loud clear whistle at dawn and dusk. Forages for fruits and invertebrates.
