Inambu-de-Bartlett (Crypturellus bartletti) — Inambu do sub-bosque de florestas amazônicas do Peru e extremo norte do Brasil. Plumagem acastanhada com padrão distinto. Habita florestas de terra firme densas. Como todos os inambus, é extremamente difícil de observar, detectado principalmente pelo canto suave e melancólico ao amanhecer.

Brown upperparts with fine blackish barring; crown dark. Throat whitish to pale buff; breast rufous-brown. Belly buff-white. Reddish legs. Small tinamou of Amazonian lowland forests; sexes similar.
Habitat & Range
Lowland humid forest in the western Amazon basin of Peru, Ecuador, and adjacent Colombia and Brazil. Prefers undisturbed terra firme and seasonally flooded forest interior below 400 m.

Ranges from southern Mexico through Central America to northern South America. Sedentary in humid lowland forest understory.

Grazes aquatic vegetation, grasses, and sedges in South American marshes; wades in shallow water; diet heavier in plants year-round.
