Chupa-dente-de-máscara (Conopophaga melanops) — Chupa-dente com máscara facial preta característica, encontrada em florestas costeiras do leste do Brasil, da Bahia ao Rio Grande do Sul. Habita sub-bosque denso de florestas úmidas. Alimenta-se de insetos no solo e serrapilheira. Canto de assobio fino. Sob pressão devido à fragmentação florestal da Mata Atlântica.
Black-breasted Gnateater
The Black-breasted Gnateater is a secretive, round-bodied bird of Amazonian forest undergrowth in Brazil and Peru, with males showing a black breast patch and a distinctive white postocular tuft. It inhabits dense forest undergrowth close to the ground in humid lowland and foothill forests. It forages on or near the forest floor for insects and other small invertebrates.
