About These Birds
Red-capped Plover
Borrelho-de-coroa-ruiva (Charadrius ruficapillus), 14–16 cm. Coroa e nuca castanho-ruivas brilhantes, máscara e colar peitoral pretos, partes superiores acastanhadas. Habita praias e planícies de maré na Austrália. Alimenta-se de pequenos invertebrados. Nidifica no solo em praias acima da maré alta.

Restricted to high-altitude moorland and montane grassland above 1,800 m in Ethiopia. Insectivorous. Sedentary; rare and little-studied. Declining due to overgrazing and agricultural encroachment.
