Cucal-de-sobrancelha-branca (Centropus superciliosus), 38–45 cm. Sobrancelha branca distinta contrastando com a coroa preta, dorso castanho listrado, partes inferiores esbranquiçadas, cauda longa e escura. Olhos vermelhos. Habita matagais, pastagens e áreas agrícolas na África Oriental e Austral. Alimenta-se de insetos e pequenos animais.

Lesser Roadrunner (Geococcyx velox) — 46–52 cm. Similar to Greater Roadrunner but smaller with a more streaked breast. Found in dry scrub, open woodland, and arid valleys from Mexico to Nicaragua. Non-parasitic; carnivorous; eats insects and small vertebrates. Shares the same terrestrial running lifestyle as its northern relative.
