O Inseparável-da-Abissínia (Agapornis taranta) habita florestas de altitude e bordas de floresta nas terras altas da Etiópia e Eritréia, geralmente acima de 1500 m. Mede aproximadamente 16-17 cm, sendo o maior inseparável. Os machos têm fronte vermelha enquanto as fêmeas são inteiramente verdes.
