Um pequeno periquito colorido da família Psittaculidae, endêmico do norte da Tanzânia na África Oriental. O Inseparável-de-Fischer (Agapornis fischeri) habita savanas arborizadas e prados com árvores esparsas ao redor do Lago Vitória. Mede aproximadamente 14-15 cm. Caracterizado pela cabeça laranja-avermelhada e corpo predominantemente verde com rump azul. Vive em bandos sociais e é famoso pelo comportamento de parceria leal (daí o nome inseparável). Alimenta-se de sementes e frutos. Popular na avicultura. Classificado como Quase Ameaçado pela UICN.
