Lóri-negro (Chalcopsitta atra), 30–32 cm. Grande lóri com plumagem predominantemente preta com brilho azulado, face vermelha, bico vermelho-alaranjado. Habita florestas tropicais do oeste da Nova Guiné e ilhas próximas. Alimenta-se principalmente de néctar, pólen e frutas. Emite sons estrídulos.
