소형 비둘기로 체장 약 19cm이며, 옅은 갈색에 눈 주위 오렌지색 피부와 창백한 아랫면을 갖는다. 안데스 산맥 페루, 볼리비아, 칠레의 건조한 고지대에 서식하는 고유종이다. 씨앗을 먹으며 바닥에서 생활한다. 관심 필요 종이다.
