소개

대형 해오리로 체장 48–55cm이며, 수컷은 전신이 검은색에 노란색 부리 혹을 갖는다. 북아메리카 북부 습지에서 번식하고 태평양과 대서양 해안에서 월동한다. 잠수하여 연체동물, 갑각류, 수생 곤충을 먹는다. 관심 필요 종이다.
