소개

중간 크기의 물오리로 체장 46–56cm이며, 수컷은 갈색 회색 깃털에 검은 꽁지, 흰색 날개 반점이 있다. 유라시아와 북아메리카의 얕은 담수 습지와 호수에 서식한다. 잡식성으로 수생식물, 씨앗, 소형 무척추동물을 먹는다. 관심 필요 종이다.
