흰미끄러지기칼은 남아메리카 북부 지역에 서식하는 쏙독새 종류이다. 갈색과 회색의 얼룩무늬 깃털로 낮 동안 나무 위에서 위장하여 숨는다. 야행성으로 밤에 날아다니며 곤충을 잡아먹고 특유의 울음소리를 낸다.
