소개

접은 날개 너머로 뻗은 긴 황갈색 옆구리 깃털, 갈색 몸통, 분홍 부리, 직립 자세를 가진 대형 홍따오기. 호주 고유종. 물가 초원에서 대규모 채이며 먹이를 구하는 무리를 이룬다. 주로 수생식물보다 풀과 사초를 먹는다.
