소개

남아프리카와 동아프리카에 널리 분포하는 소형 쏙독새(22-24 cm). 회갈색 몸통에 날개와 꼬리에 굵은 흰 반점이 있다. 삼림에서 정원까지 다양한 서식지에 산다. 야행성 곤충 포식자이며, 지속적인 울음소리를 가진다. 아프리카 내 부분 철새다.
