소개

영국에서 시베리아 중부에 걸쳐 개활지, 관목지, 소나무 조림지에서 번식하는 중형 쏙독새(약 76 g). 수컷은 황혼에 지속적인 기계적 울음소리를 낸다. 사하라 이남 아프리카에서 월동하는 장거리 철새다. 나방과 딱정벌레를 먹는다. 일부 지역 황야 감소에도 불구하고 최소관심종이다.
