오스트레일리아 개활 초원과 삼림 지대에 서식하는 큰 느시(최대 120cm, 3~8kg)입니다. 모래 갈색 깃털과 검은 머리꼭지 및 목 무늬가 특징입니다. 오스트레일리아에서 가장 무거운 나는 새입니다. 수컷은 구애 시 인상적인 풍선 모양 목 과시 행동을 합니다.
