Conservation

Endangered

定義

A conservation status indicating a species faces a very high risk of extinction in the wild.

詳細な説明

Under the IUCN Red List criteria, a species qualifies as Endangered if its population has declined by 50-70% over ten years (or three generations), its range is severely restricted and declining, or its predicted extinction probability exceeds 20% within 20 years. Currently over 1,500 bird species are classified as Endangered or Critically Endangered. The IUCN criteria provide a globally standardized, transparent, and regularly reviewed framework used by governments and conservation organizations to prioritize action.
