Great Indian Bustard
かつてインド亜大陸全域に広く分布していた非常に大型のノガン(体長最大120cm、体重8〜18kg)。砂褐色の羽毛と黒い頭冠を持つ。残存個体数150羽未満の深刻な絶滅危惧種。かつては乾燥した草地に普通に見られたが、生息地喪失と電線への衝突によってほぼ絶滅寸前。

中東から中央アジアの乾燥ステップに生息する中型ノガン(55〜65 cm)。細かい暗色の模様を持つ砂バフ色の羽衣。雑食性。長距離渡り鳥。脆弱種に分類。
