About These Birds
Flesh-footed Shearwater
全長41〜45cm、翼開長99〜107cm。全身が煤けた茶褐色で、淡い肉色の足と黄色がかった嘴の基部が特徴。インド洋南部の島々とオーストラリア南西部で繁殖し、北太平洋まで渡る。準絶滅危惧；混獲が懸念される。魚や烏賊を食べ、漁船の後をついていく。
Barau's Petrel
38 cm, wingspan 96 cm. Dark above with white forehead; white below with dark carpal bar and partial collar. Breeds only on Réunion; Endangered with around 4,000 pairs. Threatened by light attraction of fledglings; conservation lighting campaigns reduce strandings. Migrates to Indian Ocean.
