クロアカオオタカ
The Black-mantled Goshawk is a medium-sized, compact hawk with a dark blackish back and mantle, pale gray underparts with fine rufous barring, and yellow cere and feet. It inhabits montane forests of New Guinea at elevations between 900 and 2,800 meters. It preys on small birds and lizards, pursuing them through the forest with agile, rapid flight.
ヒゲワシ
ヨーロッパ、アフリカ、アジアの山岳地帯に生息する大型のハゲワシ（翼開長230〜280cm）。赤みがかった橙色の胸と黒いひげ状の羽毛が特徴。Gypaetus barbatus（ヒゲワシ）は他のハゲワシが残した骨を高空から岩に落として割り、骨髄を食べる独特の採食方法を持つ。IUCNで準絶滅危惧種に指定されている。Accipitridae科。
