北方のタイガ林(ヨーロッパ、アジア、北米)で繁殖し、不規則に南方へ飛来するレンジャク(体長18〜21cm)。灰褐色の体に赤い翼先端と黄色い尾端が特徴。Bombycilla garrulus(キレンジャク)は果実、特にナナカマドを大量に食べ、豊作不作によって飛来数が大きく変動する。日本でも不定期に群れが観察される。Bombycillidae科。
